Claire Verkoyen seeks to combine the ethereal beauty of wafer-thin porcelain vessels with visualizations in 3D of a futuristic world in which the natural and the artificial are playfully woven together.

In an imaginative and intuitive way she tries to evoke unknown realities, where nothing is recognizable or familiar.

The translucency and lightness of the eggshell porcelain, as well as the obvious craftsmanship of the artist, add to the strange attractiveness of these fragile beauties; an invitation to touch and hold them.
